IN MOTION ASIA VELOCITE ROAD CYCLING TEAM
In Motion Asia is proud to partner with Velocite Bikes and bring you the In Motion Asia Velocite 2013 Road Cycling Team.
A team with the sole purpose of having fun & enjoying some great rides! The core of the team are intermediate riders plus weekend-warrior types.
In Motion Asia is the Taipei distributor for Velocite Bikes & offers special bike & product discounts to all team riders. In Motion Asia is also one of Asia's leading bike tour operators and organizer of corporate teambuilding events, youth program and adventure tours.
We welcome all riders to come & join the fun from both Taiwan & overseas no matter if you're a pro, semi-pro, age grouper or just enjoy getting out for a spin. For overseas-based riders we can help organize airport transfers and accommodation for specific races no problem.
Taiwan is blessed with some of the best road cycling in the world & some really well organized events on offer including the epic Taiwan KOM Challenge from sea level to 3,275m every December with a number of top pros from Europe. You can see photos of the 2012 event here
For races outside Taipei we'll organize race logistics including transport, accommodation, etc. For Taipei based races we'll either ride to the start/finish or take the IMA van.
The races highlighted in red on the race calendar are our intended team races for 2013.
We're also busy designing the In Motion Asia Velocite Race Team Kit which should be available end of March.

2013 AMD Tour of East Taiwan
Race Dates: Saturday April 20 & Sunday April 21. Registration & arrivals on Friday April 19
Organizer: Taiwan Cyclist Federation
Registration Deadline: Monday March 25, 2013
There are two options for this event:
(a) National Cycling Club Series (Harder Race Level with cut-off times)
(b) All Star Challenge Series (Intermediate Challenge Level. Ride at your own pace)
For both events we will be organizing accommodation & transport. Aiming to depart Taipei early afternoon on Fri 19 with any riders + bikes arriving Hualien late afternoon in time for race meeting and race sign-in. Riders can come in the support van (4hrs) or take the train (2hrs) or fly (45min) separately (you'll need to organize this). In Hualien we'll stay at the Astar hotel (2 double beds + breakfast) & in Taidong at the Goya Jrben (2 double beds + breakfast + dinner). The support vehicle will follow the race providing support, plus carry riders, luggage & bikes, etc where needed. Each support vehicle seats 7-8 riders. After the event on Sunday afternoon the support vehicle will bring bikes + any riders back to Taipei arriving in the evening sometime.
National Cycling Club Series Stages 2-3
April 20 Race Route: 8:00am start. Hualien to Taidong via coastal route 11 (128km). Astar Hotel Hualien - Hualien Bridge - Noiu Mountain Tunnel - Jiqi - Landmark of Tropic of Cancer - Chenggong - Tulik (East Coast National Scenic Admin Area)
April 21 Race Route: 7:00am start. Taidong to Hualien via rift valley route 9 (175km). Jrben Hot Spring Elementary School - Guanshan - Chishang - Yuli - Landmark of Tropic of Cancer - Ruisui - Guangfu - Liyu Lake
Total Distance: 128km + 175km = 303km
Registration Fee: Race Reg Fee NTD$2,000 + Twin share accommodation Astar Hotel Hualien NTD$1,400 + Goya Hotel Taidong NTD$1,900 + IMA support vehicle & Taipei bike transfer NTD$3,000 (this may go up or down depending on final rider numbers). TOTAL NTD$8,300

All Star Challenge Series Stage 2-3

Total Distance: 182km + 183km = 365km
